Collins Street, Oxford

This project comprised a four storey block of twenty four flats built on a reinforced concrete transfer slab at first floor level. The building was constructed on piled foundations using an off-site manufactured light gauge steel frame system. As part of the main design and build contract the ground floor was left as a shell for a separate office fit-out contract. The flats were accessed by two separate staircase and lifts positioned at each end of the building. The external envelope was mainly brickwork to the front and side elevations and insulated render to the rear elevation. Balconies with glass balustrading were provided for private external space.
